The Butte Opera House Foundation is proud to begin its 7th year of Classic Cripple Creek Melodrama and professional live theater. We are excited to continue in 2006-2007 the new traditions of The Vampire of Cripple Creek, our Christmas Show and new Spring Show.

In 2006, the Butte Opera House Foundation expanded its theater venue to provide professional live entertainment year-round, an additional first-class attraction for visitors and locals.

Our track record has been very successful with the 90+ shows of the 2006 melodrama playing to about 10,000 people; The Vampire of Cripple Creek in its second year was attended by over 2,100 people in 20 performances.

We have built a professional staff that works together as a team to produce, direct, design, perform and promote this successful theater and we hope that you will join us in supporting the ongoing success of the Butte Opera House.

The success story of the Butte over the past few years has brought our professional theater program to a crossroads. We are at a turning point in our growth - we either expand or decrease the vision of professional theater in Cripple Creek. In order to move forward and realize the full potential of the Butte, a future where an even larger venue of professional live entertainment is possible, we are seeking a broader base of community sponsorship and support.

We look forward to another exciting year and to building on the Butte’s success story, and we would appreciate your support and sponsorship. Without our community sponsors the BOHF would not be able to produce and promote the class act entertainment that has become our tradition.
